Anyone with a South Carolina connection is welcome to submit their work. This anthology will be self published and edited by Page Jenkins. For more information on Jenkins, see "works" and "self publishing services".
All funds will be given to the SCCADVASA. The organization supplies resources, advocacy, and education to those in need. The mission is to end sexual violence. They offer direct communication for survivors as well as prevention education. Because all profits are donated, submissions will not be paid, outside of free promotion.
As mentioned before, any type of work that can be printed is welcome.
If you would like to submit a story, be sure to have no more than 2500 words, give or take. Submissions will close August 17th.
Email this address with your submissions and pieces. The subject of the email should read "submission inquiry Painting the Palmetto". The format should be either .DOCX or .pdf. You can have multiple submissions on one email, but be sure to make it very clear. Please include a short bio, around 100 words, about yourself along with the submission.
If you would like to hold a spot but your work is not quite ready yet, fill out this form. This is also a great place for those who want to write something but haven't yet, or want to inquire a bit more.
I will try to get back to each submission as soon as able. Thanks for your interest!
Christopher Fielden was kind enough to support the anthology on his site. His website is a major resources to writers throughout the globe with tips, competition lists, personal experiences, and more. I highly suggest you check him out.
